Ushers

Gethsemane Ushers' primary responsibility is hospitality: welcoming people and helping them feel comfortable in our church. They also assist the clergy with the services.  We emphasize how ushers, in welcoming people, are not only showing hospitality; what we do is also part of the church’s evangelism activity.  At Gethsemane, most ushers serve for one or two months of the year, September through May.  In the past few years, we have been fortunate to add a number of new ushers, including more women, teens, couples, and entire families.
