Gethsemane Cathedral is the charter organization for Boy Scout Troop 225, which meets most Sundays at 7 p.m. at the church. Troop 225 participates in many activities throughout the year. For example, the boys learn CPR, attend a Redhawks game together, and canoe the Red River.

Troop 225 also goes on many campouts at different locations throughout the year, including Camp Wilderness near Park Rapids, Minnesota.  Rodger Schmidt serves as Scoutmaster for Troop 225. Parental involvement is strong in the Troop.

Scout Sunday is observed in February at Gethsemane Cathedral.
